In May 2027, two immersive travel-themed workshops will run simultaneously. 

Registration for the Santa Fe Photography Study Workshop (May 17-21, 2027) begins on October 27th at 2:00PM ET. 

 

Workshop I:  iPhone travel photography in New Mexico with Jennifer Davidson (all skill levels, including beginner)

 

Workshop II: Georgia O'Keeffe and New Mexico: through the expressive lens with Renee Lynn (both intermediate and advanced using a DSLR or mirrorless camera).  

 

Kate Fahey is the GCA PSG Chair and will gladly answer any questions you may have regarding this trip. You can register directly to Santa Fe Workshops at 2:00 ET on October 27th. TODAY!!

Photography entries are still being accepted for the Philadelphia Flower Show.  Please read the instructions for Photography Classes in the schedule. The only classes that are open are 191, 193, 194 and 198 (see descriptions below). The deadline for submissions is October 28, 2026. TOMORROW!! All photography classes will be juried to determine the finalists for display in the Show. All Classes are limited to 8 finalists.

2027 Philadelphia Flower Show Photography Division

191 BLOOM STUDY - A still life photograph showcasing an abundant floral design. Color.
193 A PLACE TO PAUSE - A photograph featuring seating within a public garden. Color.
194 GROWING UP - A diptych showing the evolution of seeds. The print has two photographs placed next to each other - one of seed(s) and one of the plant or plants that grow from them. A border surrounding each of the two photographs required in this class. Color. Please note: The plant/s photographed is / are not required to have been grown from the seeds photographed.
198 BIRD BATH - A photograph of a bird or birds bathing. Color.

As of today, only Class 1 remains open.

 

Class 1  With Texture 

Color: A composed still life inspired by the rich history of textile manufacturing in the Brandywine region.  The photograph must incorporate a fabric or textile and a variety of textures.  Plant material required and identified.

 

Still life: Composed: An intentional arrangement by the photographer of a variety of objects to convey a visual story or to explore broader compositional concepts such as color, form, light or shadow. FS and JG Book 4: Judging at Flower Shows, 2025 edition.

WinterGarden 2026:  The Waltz of the Flowers
